Description of Essential Job Functions

  • Function as a first-line supervisor over team leaders and employees.
  • Plan and coordinate hiring and placement of employees with his/her Manager. Monitor and track staffing conditions, work hours and overtime, job rotation, and absenteeism.
  • Provide direction and motivation to employees emphasizing safety, quality, efficiency, productivity, cost reduction, and morale.
  • Coach and counsel employees in safety, performance, attendance, training, housekeeping/5S, and quality to ensure understanding and compliance of company requirements.
  • Develop and maintains positive employee relations centered on mutual trust, dignity, respect, fairness, consistency, two-way communication, teamwork, and harmony.
  • Utilize techniques to standardize current/new processes and methods, reduce process variation, identify waste, and methodically eliminate waste.
  • Develop standardized work procedures by designing and/or documenting the best work sequence for each process.
  • Direct the work of team leaders and employees by assigning/re-assigning work stationing and analyze production requirements based on current work situation and production schedules.
  • Direct floor activities through consistent application of 4Front’s manufacturing and production processes, standards, and systems to ensure all aspects of manufacturing are effective and correct sub-standard situations.
  • Assist with materials planning and logistics to ensure on-time delivery of parts, materials, and product meet internal/external customer expectations and requirements.
  • Perform the essential job functions of team leaders or employees as necessary to maintain efficient, stable, and continuous operations.
  • Maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Communicate frequently with internal contacts on various issues.
  • Through daily communication meetings, keep employees informed on issues relevant to them and encourage two-way communication.
  • Communicate production, quality, and safety information in addition to general information from other locations/departments.
  • Maintain daily and/or frequent communication with upstream and downstream groups/areas and support departments to ensure efficient and stable operations in a team-based environment.
  • Cook up and participate in safety, quality, productivity, and cost improvement projects.

Qualification Requirements

  • Education and Experience:
    • High School diploma or GED required.
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Operations Management; Industrial Engineering; Manufacturing Engineering; or related field preferred but not required.
    • 3-5 years of relevant manufacturing/production experience preferred with parts production, quality, or production control experience a plus.
    • Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
