Supervisor I - California Health Care Facility
About the role
Under the direction of the Chief Support Executive, the Supervisor I works with institution programs in analyzing, preparing, monitoring budgets, coordinating fiscal information and contract services with headquarters Fiscal Management Section and Headquarters Business Services. The Supervisor I prepares the more complex reports and correspondence, collects data, tracks information, monitors tracking systems, implements processes and procedures, and makes recommendations to stakeholders. The Supervisor I directs supervision of assigned staff, coordinates management of assignments, develops and monitors work plans. The Supervisor I supports the overall mission and immediate goals of the institution and performs duties as necessary to provide better delivery of program services.
Minimum Qualifications
- Four years of work experience performing analytical, technical, clerical, or customer service duties. Academic education from an accredited college/university may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
- An additional two years of professional analytical and/or technical experience, one year of which must be equivalent to an Analyst II or higher.
- Candidates who are within six months of satisfying the minimum qualifications will be admitted to the examination, but they must fully meet the requirement(s) before being eligible for appointment.
- To obtain list eligibility for the SUPERVISOR I before applying for the position, you must first take and pass the SUPERVISOR I examination.
Additional information
- This position is located at California Health Care Facility (CHCF) in Stockton, CA (San Joaquin County).
- The position is eligible for hybrid telework, in accordance with the Statewide Telework Policy and will be required to report to the office as needed/required. The successful candidate must reside in California upon the start of a telework arrangement, pursuant to Government Code sections 14200-14203.
- Effective July 1, 2025, in accordance with the applicable Memorandum of Understanding, the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) was implemented in response to the status of the State budget. PLP 2025 requires each full-time employee in Bargaining Unit 1, and related Excluded, Exempt and Statutory Exempt employees, will have their base salary reduced by 3 percent and will receive 5 hours PLP 2025 leave credits monthly through June 2027. Salaries do not reflect the recent changes.
