Responsibilities
- Maintains performance metrics for safety programs and workforce enterprise performance
- Ensures safety programs are implemented based on regulatory requirements and business needs
- Guarantees safety processes are clearly defined and communicated to the enterprise; provides metrics and reporting to leaders
- Safeguards business operations by training employees in all safety-related programs, processes, and procedures
- Facilitates technical decision-making and issue resolution; acts as a change agent
- Coordinates workforce planning and career development activities for team members
- Develops expense plans and forecasts; conducts regular cost analyses
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Required: Bachelor's degree in Safety Management, Business, Engineering, or related field and minimum five (5) years health and safety experience
- Preferred: Previous experience as a formal leader
- Preferred: Oil & Gas experience
- Preferred: Knowledge concerning industry codes, standards, practices, and regulatory requirements
- Preferred: Technical writing, communication, presentation, managing, and critical thinking skills
- Preferred: Advanced certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
- Preferred: Advanced certifications such as Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Safety Management, Business, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum five (5) years health and safety experience
