Supervisor, Fragrance Compound

About the role

The Post Supervisor, Fragrance Compound position oversees compounding and material handling operations, ensuring adherence to cGMP, safety, allergen, Halal, kosher, SSOP, SQF, EFfCI and ISO 9001:2015 guidelines. Key responsibilities include supervising up to 20 subordinates, teaching proper compounding techniques, managing inventory, overseeing material handling, maintaining records, and communicating with planning and other departments.

Responsibilities

• Supervise up to 20 subordinates
• Teach/counsel proper compounding techniques to prevent deviations
• Manage inventory of raw and stock materials
• Oversee compounding and material handling operations
• Maintain accurate inventory control and lot numbers
• Support continuous improvement projects in areas like cGMP, safety, allergen, SSOP, EFfCI, and ISO guidelines
• Communicate with planning and other departments to ensure stock levels are maintained
• Back up material handlers as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• College education preferred
• Forklift certification required
• Yellow Belt – Six Sigma Lean Training, preferred
• Working knowledge of current good manufacturing practices and OSHA safety regulations

Qualifications

• Reasoning ability – apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
• Problem solving ability
• Standing, walking, reaching, bending periods required
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Skills

• Understanding of safety labels, manufacturing instructions, and scale readouts
• Mathematical ability (add, subtract, multiply, divide, conversion from metric to English units)
• Reading and writing English
• Knowledge of metric system and conversions
