Supervisor Food Service - Grand Forks, ND

Supervisory Role

The Supervisor oversees routine work activities of workers and/or service employees engaged in food operations or services at military dining facilities. They support management in the daily oversight of key functions and employees.

Essential Functions

• Supervise day-to-day operations to ensure compliance with contract requirements and government regulations.
• Act as the primary point of contact with the Government, making decisions on matters related to the contract, except for amendments or modifications.
• Maintain Quality Control and Safety Programs in accordance with contract requirements and regulatory standards.
• Manage and review contract budgets, processes for efficiency, and personnel schedules.
• Set and guide employee expectations, conduct performance evaluations, and enforce company policies and procedures.
• Train employees on safety protocols and equipment usage, and ensure adherence to standard work practices.
• Manage AbilityOne ratio requirements through proper scheduling of direct disabled employee hours.
• Execute reports, inspections, and logs as required by the contract, and provide field information and specifications for new work.
• Facilitate the AbilityOne interview process and obtain necessary medical documentation.
• Perform other tasks as directed by the Project Manager/Supervisor.

Qualifications

• Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• Must be able to comply with contractual requirements and government regulations.
• Must have the ability to manage and supervise staff effectively.
• Must have knowledge of Quality Control and Safety Program requirements.
• Must have experience managing contract budgets and personnel schedules.
• Must have the ability to train employees on safety and operational procedures.
• Must have experience working with AbilityOne programs and direct disabled employees.
