Job Description

The Supervisor, Field Operations will manage team members in day-to-day operations and conduct/direct Flight and Demonstration Operations as needed.

  • Provide direct supervision to team of Air Vehicle Operators
  • Facilitate facilities, safety, environmental, and operational planning with the USG representative for flight events
  • Identify and recommend improvements for design, operational, and training deficiencies
  • Aid Flight Standards Team with curriculum and training updates and implementation
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Program Management to develop plans and policies
  • Manage team schedule based on flight operations management
  • Support Flight Operations Manager in planning and policy development
  • Monitor and evaluate team performance and development through feedback sessions and evaluations
  • Approve employee time cards and expense reports
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Experience

  • 5+ years’ direct experience in Field Operations team
  • 2+ years’ experience managing teams, processes, or projects
  • Operational / Flight Test experience with small, medium, or large UAS
  • Demonstrated understanding of military tactics, operations, GPS, and navigation
  • Interpreting written, oral, diagrams, blueprints, or sketches
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Unmanned Aircraft Operations or relevant field
  • Previous experience managing a growing team
  • Prior military instructor/Special Operations experience
  • Special Forces, SEAL, Special Tactics, Ranger, Force Recon / MARSOC, Scout, Forward Observer, TACP, or Aviation backgrounds

Education

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent

Additional Requirements

  • Basic computer skills and proficiency with office software and productivity tools
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Access, PowerPoint, Excel) proficiency
  • Clearance Level: No Clearance
  • ITAR Requirement: U.S. person or approved for export license

Physical Demands

  • Sit and stand for long periods
  • Talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard
  • Lift and/or move between 11-20 lbs. of cases of varying size
  • Lift up to 50 pounds as well as objects of varying sizes for shipment to & set up at various customer training sites
  • Work outdoors in extreme weather conditions and traverse across uneven ground and varying terrain
  • Stand and/or sit for long periods of time
  • Balance, handle, fine manipulation and grasping
  • Throw objects up to 16lbs over shoulder
  • Good manual dexterity to assemble and disassemble product
  • Crouch, reach and key
  • Climb, stoop, kneel, feel, overhead lifting

Salary Range

The salary range for this role is $71,805 - $109,597.
