Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily shift operations to ensure a clean, safe, and compliant hospital environment.
  • Serve as a hands-on leader who coaches, mentors, and supports staff performance.
  • Manage staffing and work assignments to maintain coverage and quality outcomes.
  • Enforce sanitation, safety, and infection prevention standards across hospital areas.
  • Respond promptly to service needs by effectively deploying team members.
  • Collaborate with others to demonstrate strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, and ongoing staff development to maintain competencies across EVS Partner and Floor Tech functions.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives, departmental goals, policies, and operational planning.
  • Handle regulated waste as assigned.
  • Deliver professional, timely service recovery to ensure high standards of patient and organizational satisfaction.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
  • One (1) year lead or supervisory experience in Environmental Services or a similar field is required.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with a focus on service excellence, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to collaborate with others in a team setting, have excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude toward problem-solving.
  • Demonstrates customer service skills to provide exceptional patient and family experience.
  • Takes initiative to help others.
  • Ability to effectively manage a team.

Qualifications
