Supervisor Environmental Services

Responsibilities

• Maintains and improves a safe, cost effective cleaning and transportation department.
• Manages the Transport and Environmental Services Departments.
• Provides technical support and training to EVS and Transport zone leaders, EVS and Transport employees.
• Supervises and coordinates transport, cleaning, trash removal & preventative maintenance procedures for all patient care areas and utility support systems.
• Assigns work to personnel and monitors for accuracy and ensures completion of tasks by inspection work and processes.
• Performs administrative tasks pertaining to daily and overall operations.
• Orients, trains, schedules, counsels & evaluates employees.
• Responds to patient and customer requests and complaints pertaining to Transport and EVS.
• Develops professional skills, attends continuing education sessions and attains personal qualifications to ensure technical competency & team work required to provide quality service.
• Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum formal education of High School Diploma.
• Minimum of three years job-related experience.
• Supervisor experience, including financial, estimating, computer and scheduling skills.
• Three plus years supervisory experience in housekeeping at a Hospital or Hotel with a successful customer service and leadership track record.
• Familiar with JCAHO, State, Local, DEP and OSHA regulations.
