Supervisor Engineering, Optimus Technicians (Night Shift)

About the role

The Engineering Supervisor, Optimus Technicians leads a large team of 20+ Engineering Technicians within the Humanoid AI Robot team who support and sustain the research and development of our prototype robots and sub-systems. You’ll be leading the team that is building/repairing the first iterations of the machines that make the machines, including highly actuated and electronically/computationally dense robots. You will have a blend of leading large teams operating in a 24/7 capacity, creating clear efficient shift schedules, and hands-on building experience and responsibilities around analysis, testing, and documentation. Projects are open-ended and often with limited up-front guidance.

• Develop technical acumen, acquire knowledge of all Tesla products, service systems, processes, and procedures

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent experience
• Ability to travel up to 75%
• Prior leadership experience in a service-focused industry; automotive expertise is not required
• Experience leading large teams
• Proven experience leading field, technical repair, or manufacturing teams in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment with strong customer-facing responsibilities
• Experience running complex processes using Lean or other techniques
• Valid driver’s license required
