About the role

Under the direction of the Imaging Manager, performs and coordinates those duties directly involved with the completion of all requested procedures of the Imaging Department with regards to quality and quantity, providing services to inpatients and outpatients of all age groups. Assists the Imaging Manager in planning, organizing, staffing, and directing functions to ensure the effective operation of the department. Supervises employee’s duties and their work process daily. Responsible for maintaining all supplies and functioning of equipment for departmental operations. Responsible for staff scheduling and departmental coverage in all modalities. Establishes and maintains a good rapport and professional relationship with fellow employees, other departments and medical staff. Performs in the capacity of staff technologist as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Directs departmental activity and technologist staff and supports ancillary personnel.
  • Manages the Department of Radiology in the absence of the Imaging Manager.
  • May be required to work at Ocala Regional Hospital, West Marion Community Hospital, or The Free Standing Emergency Department.

Qualifications

  • Vocational or 2-Year Associates Degree required
  • Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer/(ARRT-R) Radiography required
  • BLS Certification required
  • 3-5 years of imaging leadership experience required
