This is a day shift position, Monday - Friday with some on-call responsibility, located at our NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital Weill Cornell Medical Center campus on Manhattan's upper east side.

Responsibilities

• Assume oversight of the Cytogenetics laboratory, including administrative, personnel and technical duties.
• Lead a team of Cytogenetics Technologists.
• Serve as the front line liaison between laboratory staff and world‑renowned physicians.
• Drive advancement in clinical laboratory practices at a leading institution.

Requirements

• Cytogenetics experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or a related field.
• New York State license as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist.
• Four years of experience, or two years of experience with a Master’s degree, to meet NYS supervisory requirements.

Qualifications

• 3‑5 years of supervisory experience.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• ASCP certification.

Skills

• ASCP certification (preferred).
• Leadership and team management.
• Effective liaison with clinical staff.

Pay

Salary range: $140,000 – $174,000 per year.
