Essential Functions
- Assists in hiring of qualified personnel, skilled and non-skilled, according to position descriptions.
- Supervises professional, technical, and/or clerical employees; prepares work schedules, staff assignments, and observes performance to provide input for formal evaluations and recommendations for personnel actions.
- Interviews, hires, and trains employees; plans, assigns, and directs work; oversees rewards; disciplines employees, addresses complaints, and resolves problems.
- Participates in maintenance, completion, and submission of reports and records as required by policy, federal, state, and local regulation; maintains compliance of department to Standards of Operation.
- Demonstrates leadership during schedule conflicts, unplanned changes in activity, last minute deadlines, and crisis situations.
- Applies analytical reasoning, rational problem-solving skills, using evidence-based information; acts as a resource to other staff members.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or an equivalent combination of relevant education and six (6) years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
