Supervisor Clinical Nurse IV - Oncology Infusion Raleigh

About the role

The Raleigh Oncology Infusion Center at UNC Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to lead and support the nursing team.

Responsibilities

• Serves as nursing Team Leader, coordinating educational programs and overseeing staff.
• Evaluates patient progress and adjusts plans as necessary.
• Ensures appropriate care and services are available to patients and families.
• Facilitates interdisciplinary collaboration in patient care planning.
• Coordinates care with interdisciplinary team members and promotes clinical expertise.
• Assesses and anticipates patient and family learning needs and organizes resources.
• Performs bedside point of care testing as required for patient care plan.
• Creates and promotes an environment conducive to recruiting and retaining staff.
• Provides feedback to Manager/Supervisor and assists in hiring, promoting, transferring, and terminating staff.
• Models and promotes behaviors that effectively give continual feedback to staff and colleagues.
• Integrates best practice standards regarding retention of staff in all aspects of practice.
• Establishes and promotes standards of excellence for areas of responsibility.
• Collaborates with Nurse Manager to implement strategies to increase revenue and manage resources.
• Evaluates the impact of strategic fiscal changes on quality outcomes.
• Develops, implements, and evaluates new and creative approaches to meeting goals.
• Leads, participates, and promotes performance improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Bachelor's degree (BSN) in nursing required.
• Must have NC RN licensure and BCLS certification.
• Professional certification relevant to the practice area and on the ANCC Magnet approved list within the probationary period of employment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year experience working as a licensed RN.
• Knowledge and skills to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
• Reasoning ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions.
