About the Role
This position will be located at US PA Altoona - UPMC Altoona, where operations, people, and patient care intersect. You’ve built your technical foundation—now step into leadership to guide the work, the team, and the outcomes that hospitals rely on.
Responsibilities
- Run the day-to-day: align staffing, priorities, and resources so service never slips.
- Lead a team that delivers: coach technicians, guide performance, and build accountability.
- Turn insight into action: use KPIs and data to fix inefficiencies and improve operations.
- Be the partner hospitals trust: solve problems, manage vendors, and ensure readiness for every inspection.
Qualifications
- 3+ years working with biomedical equipment in a clinical engineering environment (required).
- Leadership or team guidance experience (preferred).
- Associate degree or equivalent experience (required); technical/electronics focus preferred; bachelor’s degree a plus.
- Knowledge of regulatory agencies (TJC, CAP, DNV) and operational performance metrics.
- Technical certifications (A+, CBET, CRES, CLES, CCE) preferred.
