Essential Functions
- Ensure timely and appropriate clinical determinations through daily screening and assessments.
- Conduct quality audits and ensure proper closure of encounters in documentation systems (WellSky, Teams, Concord).
- Oversee referral communication cycles, ensuring effective and timely patient placements and documentation.
- Maintain communication with hospitals and external referral sources to relay updates and changes.
- Manage team communication via Tiger Connect, ensuring timely responses.
- Primary contact while on duty for central intake staff.
- Collaborate with leadership to identify and implement process and productivity improvements.
- Coordinating shift assignments, schedule adjustments, and time-off requests as issues arise.
- Monitoring real-time scheduling needs and making adjustments as necessary.
- Collaborating with the Director and leadership to improve efficiency in scheduling workflows.
- Ensuring compliance with labor laws and organizational scheduling policies.
- Training staff on scheduling processes and troubleshooting any related issues.
- Assisting in the development of scheduling reports and metrics for leadership review.
- Serving as the primary clinician for placement cases on assigned shifts.
- Supporting the Director in all Placement Contract activities.
- Assigning placement responsibilities to staff and monitoring workflow.
- Reviewing and correcting placement data entries to ensure accuracy.
- Maintaining up to date placement contract information and communicating updates to staff.
- Generating and submitting daily activity reports to Director.
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly and quarterly reports for leadership.
- Acting as the primary point of contact for placement sites during business after hours.
- Monitoring placement timeliness and participating in process improvement initiatives.
- Training new staff members on placement processes and evaluating their readiness.
- Performing Central Intake clinician duties when not engaged in placement responsibilities.
Education / Experience
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Paramedic, required.
- At least three (3) years of experience in hospital admissions and insurance verification, including working knowledge of managed care, commercial insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid.
- Prior supervisory or lead experience preferred.

- Interacts well with the public in a stress-oriented position.
- Able to function with minimal supervision.
- Complete understanding and respect for patient confidentiality with HIPAA compliance.
- Communicates in a professional, respectful manner.
Work Environment
- Subject to many interruptions.
- Occasional pressure due to multiple calls and inquiries.
- This position can be high paced and stressful; must be able to cope mentally and physically to atmosphere.
- Work requires spending approximately 90% or more of the time inside a building that offers protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
