About the role

Supervise the day-to-day Casino Services operations to ensure cash, chip, and check cashing transactions and procedures are properly enforced. Ensure the timely collection, accounting, recording, and safekeeping of funds. Oversee payroll, scheduling of supervisory staff, compliance with internal controls, and adherence to state and federal regulations while maintaining a high level of guest service.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all staff on prospective shift; carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws, including hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance, disciplining team members, and addressing complaints.
• Approve credit for guests within assigned authority; ensure accurate, efficient, and discreet handling of credit information.
• Assist the Casino Services Manager with the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures.
• Ensure the integrity of all financial data produced by employees under your supervision.
• Maintain accuracy, confidentiality, and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.
• Ensure employees adhere to customer service guidelines as outlined in policies and procedures.
• Communicate upcoming promotions to staff prior to effective dates to ensure knowledgeability.
• Evaluate guests’ play and issue complimentary items based on established guidelines.
• Advise staff on handling guest complaints and ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory controls, both internal and external, including those of the Mississippi Gaming Commission.
• Assist guests with requests in a professional and timely manner.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must have the ability to obtain a Work Permit issued by the Mississippi Gaming Commission.
• Knowledge of internal controls for Title 31.
• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service.
• Ability to read, accurately analyze, and interpret common documentation.
• Ability to analyze and interpret departmental needs and results; solve complex problems.
• Ability to perform duties under frequent time pressures in an interruptive environment.
• Ability to respond to common inquiries.
• Ability to write and present information to management clearly.
• Good communication and listening skills.
• Must work the schedule assigned for business purposes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Prior experience in handling large sums of money is preferred.
• Proficiency with computers and ten-key adding machines; ability to enter data, read, and interpret computer output.
• Excellent guest and human relations skills.

• Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
