Supervisor- Benefits Support
About the role
The Supervisor- Benefits Support (Team Lead) role at Paylocity involves leading a team in the day-to-day operations of the benefits support department. This includes delegating tasks, providing training, coaching, and mentoring, handling escalated customer issues, and facilitating regular team communications.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the work of the assigned group on a daily basis, delegating tasks as needed.
- Provide training and coaching to new and existing team members.
- Handle escalated issues from customers or internal teams in a collaborative manner.
- Facilitate business or team updates through regular meetings, 1:1 sessions, or team huddles.
- Offer input and recommendations to managers regarding performance management, promotions, employment status changes, and performance issues.
- Develop and implement action plans to improve team or individual performance.
- Act as a technical resource to the support team as needed.
- Be a subject matter expert in key areas of the department.
- Create and update processes and other internal training documentation as necessary.
Requirements
- 2+ years' experience in Payroll/HR industry.
- 2+ years' experience in technical/problem-solving client-facing roles.
- 2+ years of leadership experience, inclusive of leading and supporting a team.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Experience with ownership and accountability in group responsibilities.
- Previous benefits experience strongly preferred.
- Previous experience with Payroll systems is strongly preferred.
- Previous supervisory/mentoring experience preferred.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $59,600 - $85,100 /yr. The actual salary offered may vary based on individual performance and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is also eligible for an annual restricted stock unit grant.
Schedule
This is a 100% in-office role based at our Schaumburg, IL location. Remote or hybrid work is not available for this position. Candidates must be able to work on-site five days per week during designated work hours.
