Supervisor, Assisted Living

About the role

Bethany Lutheran Homes Inc is seeking an Assisted Living Supervisor for Eagle Crest South in La Crosse, WI. This position is 64 hours per week, generally Monday through Friday, with occasional nights or weekends. It may be combined with other duties to meet additional hours.

Responsibilities

• Interview, hire, and train Resident Care staff
• Conduct new hire and annual performance reviews and discipline when necessary
• Aid in scheduling
• Assist the Nurse team with new admissions and discharges
• Attend and set up care conferences with the nurse
• Collaborate with the life enrichment department to ensure a vibrant activity program
• Support the Nurse in other duties as needed
• Order supplies and maintain the daily operations of the unit
• Participate in strategic and facility action plans
• Oversee volunteers
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• At least 21 years old and capable of responding to the needs of residents
• Supervisory/leadership qualities and abilities
• Time management and assessment skills
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Suite, internet, and other databases
• Willingness and ability to be flexible with time to fill in shifts as needed

Preferred Education and Experience

• Associate's degree or higher in a healthcare-related field
• Bachelor's degree in a field other than healthcare and one year of experience in assisted living, home care, or nursing home
• High school diploma or equivalent with two years' experience in a healthcare-related field and completion of an approved assisted living administrators training course
