About the Role

The Supervisor, Accounts Receivable Services oversees the daily activities of their AR team, including inventory management and staff training.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors and coordinates follow-up activities to ensure equitable work assignments and timely account collections to meet goals.
  • Performs weekly QA reviews of the team’s work.
  • Reviews staff productivity reports weekly and provides updates to the AR Analyst.
  • Assists with resolution of external and internal client inquiries.
  • Prepares and maintains required reports or logs.
  • Maintains current knowledge of healthcare regulations and issues.
  • Identifies issues and collaborates with managers and directors to resolve them.
  • Provides training, monitoring, feedback, and disciplinary action as needed.
  • Maintains professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
  • Monitors team attendance and PTO usage.
  • Disables remote client access for terminated or transferred employees in a timely manner.
  • Ensures compliance with Information Security and HIPAA policies for self and direct reports.
  • Uses, protects, and discloses patients’ protected health information (PHI) only in accordance with HIPAA standards.
  • Limits PHI access to the minimum necessary for assigned duties.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a physician business office or similar setting.
  • 3+ years of experience in a healthcare billing management role.
  • Ability to work well individually and in a team environment.
  • Reliable, responsible, goal-oriented, and flexible.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills at all organizational levels.
  • Strong problem-solving and creative skills with sound judgment.
  • High level of integrity, dependability, and urgency with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Working Conditions

  • Must possess a smartphone or electronic device capable of downloading applications for multifactor authentication and security.
  • Occasionally required to move around the work area, sit, perform manual tasks, operate office equipment, extend arms, kneel, talk, and hear.

Mental Demands

  • Must follow directions, collaborate with others, and handle stress.

Work Environment

The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal.
