Supervising Registered Nurse II, CF - North Kern State Prison (NKSP)

This position is located at North Kern State Prison in Delano, Kern. Main communication for this role will be through email.
Effective July 1, 2025, the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) requires full-time employees in Bargaining Unit 17, and related Excluded, Exempt, and Statutory Exempt employees, to have their base salary reduced by 3% and receive 5 PLP 2025 leave credits monthly through June 2027. Part-time and permanent intermittent employees are subject to the same conditions on a prorated basis. This is a limited-term position which may be extended or become permanent.
About the Role
Under the direction of the Chief Nurse Executive (CNE) or the Supervising Registered Nurse (SRN) III, Correctional Facility (CF), the SRN II, CF is responsible for planning, assigning, supervising, and evaluating the work of nursing and other assigned staff in a service line delivery area. The role involves disseminating, implementing, and monitoring adherence to policies and procedures, applying supervisory principles, resolving personnel issues, setting goals, and ensuring continuity of quality patient care. Active participation and support of the Complete Care Model is required.

- Apply supervisory rules and principles to resolve personnel issues.
- Set goals for self and others to ensure quality patient care.
