Supervising Officer 2
Position Summary
The Supervising Officer 2 performs highly responsible work with responsibility for the security, custody and control of Facility Residents in the institution's security program. Positions at this level carry major responsibility for supervision of security staff and facility residents on an assigned shift, providing security, discipline and order of the institution. This position acts as Chief Security Officer during evening hours and weekends and in absence of the Security Director as needed.
Salary Information
This position is in pay schedule and range 81-34 with a starting pay of $51.63/hour - $55.31/hour, plus excellent benefits. Pay will be set in accordance with the Compensation Plan and Wisconsin Administrative Code in effect at the time of hire. A probationary period is required.

Qualifications
- Minimally qualified applicants will have training and/or experience:
- Performing supervisory activities (e.g. evaluating work; handling disciplinary matters, hiring, etc.).
- Responding to and assisting in emergencies such as physical altercations, medical emergencies, and crisis intervention during incidents in a secure environment (treatment facility, institution, etc.).
- Providing specialized formal training, coaching, or mentorship to others in a group or one on one setting (e.g. FTO instructor / coordinator, POSC, ERU Team Leader, Firearms, Security Threat Group, etc.).
- In addition to the above, well qualified applicants will have training and/or experience:
- Participating in multi-disciplinary teams and/or serving on committees or work groups.
- Carrying out investigations and coordinating with outside agencies.
- Conducting security and/or overseeing inspections throughout an institution.
- Evaluating and developing or recommending policies/procedures
