Supervising Officer 1
Position Summary
The position carries out responsibility for security, discipline, and order at the assigned institution. Responsibilities include supervision of Correctional Officers and Correctional Sergeants on an assigned shift; institution security inspections on a given shift; resolving problems and/or counseling persons in our care.
Salary Information
This position is in pay schedule and range 81-33 with a starting pay of $47.68/hour - $51.36/hour, plus excellent benefits. Pay will be set in accordance with the Compensation Plan and Wisconsin Administrative Code in effect at the time of hire. A probationary period is required.

Qualifications
- Minimally qualified applicants will have training and/or experience:
- - Performing lead worker related activities (i.e., reviewing work of others, training/orienting new employees, assigning job duties, establishing operating procedures, lead or direct activities of other staff, etc.).
- - Performing security related tasks, such as conducting rounds, inspecting security equipment, supervising residents (patients, persons in our care, etc.).
- - Responding to and assisting in emergencies such as physical altercations, medical emergencies, and crisis intervention during incidents.
- In addition to the above, well qualified applicants will have experience:
- - Participating with multi-disciplinary teams or work groups.
- - Developing or contributing to the development of post orders, policies, and/or procedures, handbooks, etc.
- - Working in a secure environment, such as a treatment facility, institution, etc. or a military environment
