TK Elevator is seeking an experienced Superintendent for Service/Repair operations in Charleston, WV.
Responsibilities
- Visits job sites and performs quality audits to ensure route work is completed efficiently and cost-effectively.
- Performs NIM job audit within 15 days of construction and modernization turnovers, identifying issues that could affect equipment reliability and providing improvement recommendations.
- Assists mechanics with troubleshooting and on-the-job training.
- Reviews route profitability and call backs using accounting reports, providing feedback and data to management.
- Participates in and assists with safety training.
- Provides technical input to sales staff on scope of work and materials needed for repair bids, including calculating labor and material costs.
- Offers feedback to service/repair manager prior to field evaluations and performance ratings.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of all federal, state, and local elevator industry code requirements.
- Stays familiar with company products by attending training classes and reviewing factory equipment updates.
- Works with regional field trainers to enhance product knowledge.
- Determines and orders materials and parts needed for service and repairs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Thorough knowledge of the construction industry and general management skills, or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Two years of experience managing at a branch departmental level, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to write reports, contract proposals, and business correspondence.
- Strong communication skills to present information and respond to questions from management and customers.
- Analytical skills to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret complex technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory Motor Vehicles Report.
