Service Repair Superintendent

Job Duties
- Take ownership of repair and maintenance operations across your assigned service area, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with customer expectations and business objectives.
- Manage work of maintenance and repair projects.
- Supervise repairs and routes to determine best geographic and manpower qualifications to ensure minimum travel time.
- Survey vertical transportation (elevators) and provide recommended component repairs/upgrades.
- Source vendor material quotes and provide material & labor cost estimates to sales people.
- Complete quality audits and customer contacts weekly and complete appropriate forms.
- Conduct service meetings with technicians weekly.
- Review outstanding repairs to ensure accurate scheduling and completion of all repairs.
- Review and approve all service time tickets for accuracy and invoices for vendor’s materials.
- Contact and update customers when units are shut down for repairs or parts.
- Provide coaching and feedback and development to direct reports.
- Travel regularly within the service area and perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs and working in varied environments.
Hiring Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in the elevator/escalator industry or related field (industrial service, construction, or mechanical systems).
- Proven experience leading field teams and supervising technicians.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and/or hydraulic systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, schedules, and customer relationships.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in vertical transportation industry (elevators/escalators).
- Familiarity with union environments.
- Demonstrated ability to manage operational performance and cost control.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to pass a background check.
Skills

Pay
The hiring range for this role is $115,400 – $151,410. The compensation package offered will depend on candidate’s ability to meet the requirements of the role, needs for the business strategy, and a range of factors unique to each candidate, including their skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and location.
Schedule
Regular travel within the service area is required.
