Superintendent I (Area)

The Superintendent 1 (Area) is responsible for field operations in assigned areas or aspects of the project. They ensure the work is performed in a safe, timely, profitable, and ethical manner, in accordance with contract documents, design, budget, and schedule. They directly supervise field labor forces and Assistant Superintendents.

Responsibilities

• Oversee field operations in assigned areas or aspects of the project.
• Ensure work is performed safely, on time, profitably, and ethically.
• Supervise field labor forces and Assistant Superintendents.
• Manage safety and QA/QC culture on-site.
• Lead smaller fit-out projects or an area of a larger building project.
• Handle change order and ticket management.
• Oversee subcontractors.
• Update schedules and maintain look-ahead schedules.
• Read and deliver on plans and specifications.

Requirements

• 5+ years of proven construction experience.
• 2+ years as a Safety and QA/QC Cultural Champion.
• 2+ years of successful leadership of smaller fit-out projects or an area of a larger building project.
• 2+ years of experience with change order and ticket management.
• 2+ years of experience with subcontractor oversight.
• 2+ years of experience with schedule updates and look-ahead schedules.
• 2+ years of experience reading and delivering on plans and specifications.
