About the role
The role of Superintendent with Crusoe’s Manufacturing team involves overseeing the installation, repair, and maintenance of complex electrical systems to ensure reliability and safety in manufacturing operations. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting and resolving electrical issues, developing preventative maintenance programs, ensuring compliance with electrical codes, and mentoring other electricians.
Responsibilities
- Electrical System Oversight: Oversee the installation of complex electrical systems in manufactured buildings, ensuring adherence to codes and specifications.
- Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose and resolve electrical problems, implementing effective and long-lasting solutions.
- Preventative Maintenance & Optimization: Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs for electrical systems to ensure reliability and optimize performance.
- Code Compliance & Inspections: Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant codes and regulations, and conduct inspections to verify adherence to standards.
- Blueprint Interpretation & Planning: Interpret complex electrical schematics and develop detailed plans for electrical projects.
- Mentorship & Training: Provide guidance and mentorship to other electricians, sharing expertise and contributing to their professional development.
- Safety Leadership: Promote a strong safety culture, ensuring adherence to safety requirements and OSHA guidelines.
- Project Management: Manage electrical projects, including planning, resource allocation, and timeline management.
Requirements
- Master Electrician License
- Extensive Electrical Experience: Significant experience as a Journeyman and Master Electrician, with a deep understanding of electrical systems and best practices.
- Technical Expertise: Advanced proficiency in using a wide variety of electrician tools, techniques, and testing equipment.
- Code Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of relevant electrical codes and regulations.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and train other electricians.
- Problem-Solving Prowess: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to tackle complex electrical challenges.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety requirements and OSHA guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with team members, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Physical Capabilities: Ability to perform the physical demands of the role, including lifting, bending, and working in various positions.
Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with PLC programming or automation systems
- Experience with high-voltage systems
- Knowledge of NEC and other relevant standards
