Superimposed Daily Direct Support Professional (DSP)

About the role
Introducing our new work schedule: 12-hour shifts with a 3-day work week. This allows for full-time work with up to 16 days off per month. You can enjoy more than half the year off while still working full-time. Additionally, we allow and encourage you to pick up extra shifts.
Daily positions exist for daytime, overnight, and 3-day weekend packages. Pay includes weekday base rates and higher weekend premium rates. Designed for staff who prefer predictable, consistent shift schedules with fewer total working days.
Responsibilities
- Build relationships
- Provide companionship, conversation, and engagement in activities
- Assist with care needs (bathing, dressing, grooming, cooking, cleaning, eating)
- Administer medications
- Observe, document, and report data on daily activities
- Plan outings that you will be present at for support
- Provide support with hobbies, studies, and social activities
- Read, write, and execute directions
- Report changes in health and/or status of the client
- Respond to emergency situations
- Data entry, instant messaging, uploading documents
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience with people with disabilities and/or mental health is preferable
- Valid Driver’s License
- Proof of Automobile Insurance
- Valid telephone number
- Valid address
- Internet, Email access, smartphone access
- Microsoft Teams access (Teams will need to be downloaded onto your phone or computer)
- High level of both written and verbal communication skills
- Able to pass a motor vehicle record check and criminal background check
Skills
- Attention to detail, especially in following client Individual Support Plans
- Demonstrates integrity, trustworthiness, and reliability
- Able to demonstrate regular attendance and punctuality
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills such as compassion and sensitivity to client needs, while maintaining professional boundaries
- High level of literacy in spoken and written English
- Proficient in Microsoft software and applications
- Ability to transport clients in personal vehicle to support client needs
Work Environment
- Client home and community including but not limited to medical providers, retail stores, outdoor recreation, and indoor recreation
- Work and travel in all types of weather, including inclement weather
- Travel during scheduled work hours (approved mileage and expenses are reimbursed)
Physical Demands
- Bending, sitting, standing, twisting, reaching, driving, climbing stairs, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk or hear, taste or smell, lifting and carrying
- Must be able to lift and carry various items when supporting clients; including groceries, supplies, and to provide physical assistance to clients as indicated in the client Individual Support Plan
Pay
$17.50 per hour
Schedule
- Full-time, 12-hour shifts (7am–7pm or 7pm–7am)
- 3- or 4-day workweek rotation, allowing full-time hours with many days off per month
- Superimposed Day - Full Time 36 hours: Thursday, Friday, and Saturday 7am-7pm (Multiple sites)
