Summer Program - Youth

Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of unskilled labor duties including:
• shoveling materials and leveling areas;
• loading and unloading supplies;
• cleaning litter and debris from streets and parking lots;
• mowing grass using hand or powered equipment;
• trimming shrubs and lower parts of trees along sidewalks;
• using standard hand tools, such as shovels and small power tools.

Requirements

• Must complete a work permit application and obtain a work permit before starting a new job.
• Minors under the age of 14 may not work.
• Permits are issued by the school department by which the minor lives or attends school.
• To obtain a working permit, you must come in person to 43 School Street, Brockton, MA with a parent/guardian.
• Please bring a valid photo ID for identification purposes.
