Responsibilities

  • Gain exposure to a high‑flow automotive manufacturing environment.
  • Develop work standards and documentation.
  • Help continuously improve processes by utilizing the latest industry technology.

Qualifications

  • Rising Junior or Senior enrolled in a 4‑year accredited college or university.
  • Pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Industrial, and/or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Overall GPA of 2.8 or above.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Residency in the Houston or surrounding areas for the duration of the internship (housing allowance or stipend not provided).

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of the job, the associate is required on a daily basis to analyze and interpret data, communicate, and remain in a stationary position for a significant portion of the workday; frequently access, input, and retrieve information from a computer and other office productivity devices. The associate is regularly required to move about the office and around the facility, occasionally travel to other sites (including out‑of‑state) for business purposes, frequently lift up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.

Work Environment

The role is primarily performed in an office setting, but the associate may occasionally be exposed to wet or humid conditions, areas with moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic or caustic chemicals, and outside weather conditions. The office noise level is typically quiet, though occasional exposure to loud noise levels may occur.

Travel

Minimal travel is required for this position (up to 10 % of the time on a domestic basis).
