About the role
We are seeking a Summer Camp Counselor to positively impact the summer camp community and help children reach their full potential.
Responsibilities
- Supervise campers and ensure all activities are accessible to all participants, regardless of ability.
- Encourage participation in all camp activities.
- Avoid risks of accidents by actively participating in activities and ensuring appropriate behavior.
- Maintain open communication with parents/guardians about camper activities.
- Embody the GPY commitment to diversity and inclusion.
Requirements
- At least 18 years old.
- A high school diploma or equivalent, or enrollment in at least 2 years of child development coursework approved by state licensing requirements.
- Enthusiasm, sense of humor, patience, and experience working with children.
