About the role
We are seeking a Summer Camp Counselor to positively impact the summer camp community and help children reach their full potential.
Responsibilities
- Supervise campers and ensure all campers can participate in all activities, regardless of ability.
- Actively participate in activities to encourage camper participation.
- Avoid risks of accidents by ensuring appropriate behavior of campers and staff.
- Maintain effective communication with parents/guardians about camper and camp activities.
- Embody the GPY commitment to diversity and inclusion.
Requirements
- At least 18 years old.
- A high school diploma or equivalent, or enrollment in a minimum of 2 years of child development coursework approved by state licensing requirements.
- Enthusiasm, sense of humor, patience, and experience working with children.
