Over the course of the interns’ time at Huntington, they gain exposure to key business functions across all segments of the organization. An intern’s experience is focused on professional growth, skill development, and practical application of academic learning. Interns participate in a structured series of development opportunities, including interactions with senior leadership and career pathing insights. Internship Opportunities at Huntington
Huntington offers internship opportunities for students who are currently enrolled in an academic program and seeking practical, hands‑on experience in their field of study. Internships take place during a defined period of time and are available across all business segments.
Foundations Program (for rising juniors graduating Winter 2028 or Spring 2029):
- 8-week, regionally focused experience
- Students partner directly with a manager and team
- Contribute to meaningful projects
- Build professional skills
- Explore career opportunities across Huntington and the financial services industry
Enterprise Internship Program (for rising seniors graduating Winter 2027 or Spring 2028):
- 11-week, role-aligned experience
- Work directly with a manager and team on meaningful business initiatives
- Gain exposure to executive leadership
- Participate in Huntington's innovation project
- Build connections that may lead to future full-time opportunities
All Interns Participate In
- Experience in day‑to‑day responsibilities related to their assigned team
- Exposure to broader business functions
- A structured schedule of professional development sessions
- Opportunities to engage with members of the Executive Leadership Team
- Discussions with senior leaders regarding career paths and Huntington’s business areas
- A team project focused on applying Huntington’s innovation framework to a business‑relevant problem

Human Resources Internship Overview
Within the Human Resources Segment, interns gain exposure to a wide variety of areas within the business. Students partner directly with professionals within their area of focus to contribute to meaningful projects and initiatives while developing knowledge of specific Human Resources areas of expertise.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Collaborate directly with your manager
- Support organization and department initiatives
- Provide recommendations to improve your department
- Work both independently and within a team
- Exhibit a professional, business-like demeanor
- Exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills
- Aptitude – proficiency with computer software, particularly the Microsoft Office Suite

Basic Qualifications
- High School graduate
- Enrolled in an Undergraduate or Graduate accredited University with at least one quarter/semester of school after the completion of the summer program
- Demonstrated teamwork and leadership through extracurricular activities and/or work experience
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office® applications
Preferred Qualifications
- Course(s) of study applicable to the area of business
- Ability to maintain professional composure in a dynamic work environment that often requires management and completion of multiple tasks
- Demonstrate sound judgment and ability to apply logical/critical thought processes when developing solutions
- Ability to display a positive business presence with management and external personnel
- A strong interest in Banking as a career
- Relevant Majors: Human Capital Management, Human Resources, Psychology, general business degrees. Data degrees in the People Analytics space

Workplace Type
Certain positions outside our branch network may be eligible for a flexible work arrangement. Huntington combines in-office and work from home to enable teams to deepen connections, maintain a strong community, and do their best work. Remote roles will also have the opportunity to come together in our offices for moments that matter. Specific work arrangements will be provided by the hiring team.
Compensation
$21.00 – $25.00 Hourly
Colleagues in Intern positions are eligible for paid holidays and Huntington’s retirement savings plan.
