Summer 2027 Electrical Engineering Intern (MN)

About the role

We are hiring for Summer 2027 Electrical Engineering Interns for our refinery in Rosemount, MN. FHR interns collaborate within our teams on real-life projects and challenges. As an Electrical Engineering Intern, you’ll invest in your future while learning about various high and low voltage electrical equipment or instrumentation (transmitters, control valves, control loops, etc.), focusing on reliability, performance, and troubleshooting situations. Interns are assigned individual projects as well as mentors to help them pave their way to success.

Our 12-week in-person internships located at our refineries offer you a first-hand look at the opportunities available in the industry as well as our company. Through weekly learning sessions, location-specific programming, and professional development, we aim to help every individual grow and learn how they can best contribute. This program will allow you to experience Life at Koch, as you start your career and explore opportunities within our network of companies.

Responsibilities

• Gain real-world, hands-on experience with the opportunity to tackle significant projects, problem-solve, and take ownership of your work.
• Learn about high and low voltage electrical equipment or instrumentation, focusing on reliability, performance, and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with teams on real-life projects and challenges.
• Participate in weekly learning sessions, location-specific programming, and professional development opportunities.

Requirements

• Enrolled in a 4-year degree program majoring in Electrical Engineering.
• Eligible for full-time employment during or before Summer 2028.
• Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship.

Pay

For this role, we anticipate paying $35.00 per hour.
