About the role

The Electrical Engineering Intern (Solar Project Manager Intern) will assist with sales, project execution, and overall performance of alternative energy projects, with a key focus on delivering Solar projects. Based in Downers Grove, Illinois, you’ll be a vital part of our Power Solutions team.

Responsibilities

• Be a key part of the Power Solutions team delivering turnkey power solutions to clients.
• Handle administrative aspects of projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Assist with designing Solar solutions using innovative in-house tools to support our design/build sales process.
• Oversee equipment selection, buyout process, and logistics for the full project scope.
• Procure solar panels, inverters, and other power components from supplier and distributor networks.
• Utilize and expand our national and international network of equipment suppliers.
• Assist in developing Solar, CHP, and Micro-grid solutions as part of master power planning for clients.
• Act with integrity, supporting company values and maintaining a focus on meeting or exceeding customer expectations.

Requirements

• Minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0.
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s of Engineering program or related field of study.
• Prior industry internship experience is a plus.
• Extracurricular involvement is a plus.
