About the Role
Walmart’s Accounting & Finance Development Program (AFDP) summer internship is a highly developmental opportunity for exceptional students with leadership potential. Successful interns may receive an invitation to join the full-time AFDP—a rigorous two-year rotational program that accelerates careers at the world’s largest retailer.
The AFDP offers two distinct tracks:

Full-time AFDPs complete at least three 6-month rotations within Commercial Finance, with the option for one rotation in Controllership or Audit.
- Accounting Track: Interns are placed in a Controllership or Audit team. Full-time AFDPs complete two 6-month rotations in Controllership (e.g., GCO—External Reporting, GIC, Consolidation—and Segment—International, Walmart US, Sam’s Club, or Corporate) and two in Audit.
