2027 Accounting & Finance Development Program Intern (Undergraduate)
About the role
This is a paid, 11-week summer program where you'll gain world-class experience in AbbVie's dynamic organization. Participants work on meaningful assignments that impact the business and patients worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Work on meaningful assignments that have a real impact on AbbVie's business and patients worldwide.
- Gain experience in one of the most dynamic organizations in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Participate in a variety of functional areas including Commercial, Operations, Research & Development, and Corporate.
Requirements
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in finance and/or accounting, with an expected graduation date between December 2027 – August 2028.
- Must be enrolled in school the semester following your internship with AbbVie.
- Progress towards successfully completing at least three accounting courses (each with 3 credit hours) by the time of graduation, with one of the courses being focused on cost or managerial accounting.
- Demonstrated utilization of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint in academic and/or professional settings.
- Demonstrated leadership experience within a school or student organization setting.
- Submit unofficial or official transcript at time of application.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher.
Qualifications

- Preferred qualifications include dual major or minor in a related field, exposure in utilizing systems and tools to visualize and present data in a meaningful way, and completion of an accredited Excel or data visualization tool certificate program or course.
- Ability to use analytical skills to innovatively solve problems.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage projects within a work and/or academic environment, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of all stakeholders.
- Proven track record of working collaboratively in teams, being adaptable, innovative, proactive, and maintaining high ethical standards.
- Previous internship or related experience.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher.

Pay
The compensation range for this role is $20,000 - $25,000 per year, depending on various factors including geographic location.
Schedule
