About the role

A hands-on internship where students actively engage in practical accounting tasks from day one. Interns are entrusted with real responsibilities and encouraged to contribute their own ideas, fostering both personal growth and team success.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with data analysis and general accounting processes, including creating reports and presenting findings to management.
  • Oversee Accounts Payable and track and report Key Performance Indicators.
  • Complete the Fixed Asset capitalization process and produce audit lists.
  • Perform account reconciliations as needed.
  • Monitor and report efficiencies gained in projects.
  • Review and develop digitalization process efficiencies.
  • Conduct research and conceptualize new ideas to improve accounting functions.
  • Support project management and coordination of related projects.
  • Coordinate and support focused, community-based events and initiatives.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret information to evaluate business strategies.
  • Stay abreast of best practices and recommend relevant initiatives.
  • Provide input on enhancing processes and practices.
  • Support the organization’s vision, strategy, priorities, and roadmap.
  • Partner with stakeholders to enable successful prioritization, development, delivery, and adoption of program goals.
  • Create PowerPoint slide decks for presentations and support meeting preparation.
  • Participate in project team meetings.
  • Provide general administrative support, including scheduling meeting rooms and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate business-related degree at an accredited four-year U.S. college or university.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (transfer students must have a GPA from their current university).
  • Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Good organization, project management, and communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours / week) for the entire work term (May 18 – August 7, 2026).
  • Must attach an unofficial transcript and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.
