2027 Accounting & Finance Development Program Intern (Undergraduate)
About the role
This is a paid, 11-week summer program designed for energetic participants to gain world-class experience in one of the most dynamic organizations in the pharmaceutical industry.
Responsibilities
- Participate in meaningful assignments that have a real impact on AbbVie’s business and patients worldwide.
- Work within four functional areas: Commercial, Operations, Research & Development, and Corporate.
- Gain valuable skills and professional development opportunities through various social and philanthropy events.
- Be part of AbbVie’s health and wellness program, AbbVie Vitality.
Requirements
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting, with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and August 2028.
- Enrolled in school the semester following your internship with AbbVie.
- Progress towards successfully completing at least three accounting courses (each with 3 credit hours) by the time of graduation, with one of the courses focusing on cost or managerial accounting.
- Demonstrated utilization of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint in academic and/or professional settings.
- Demonstrated leadership experience within a school or student organization setting.
- Submit unofficial or official transcript at the time of application.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher.
Preferred Qualifications
- Dual major or minor in a related field is a plus.
- Exposure to utilizing systems and tools to visualize and present data in a meaningful way.
- Completion of an accredited Excel or data visualization tool certificate program or course.
- Ability to use analytical skills to innovatively solve problems.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage projects within a work and/or academic environment, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of all stakeholders.
- Proven track record of working collaboratively in teams, being adaptable, innovative, proactive, and maintaining high ethical standards.
- Previous internship or related experience.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher.

Pay
The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location.
Schedule
The internship runs for 11 weeks during the summer.

This job is eligible to participate in our short-term incentive programs.
