Responsibilities

• Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room.
• Take food and beverage orders efficiently, following established steps of service.
• Deliver food promptly and professionally, maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards.
• Follow up with guests to assist with additional needs or requests.
• Demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients.
• Advise guests on appropriate food and drink combinations when requested; accommodate reasonable requests and note preferences.
• Communicate directly with back-of-house staff to ensure orders are delivered correctly and special requests are accommodated.
• Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures.
• Promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests.
• Promptly address complaints or issues and relay relevant information to the supervisor.
• Ensure the dining room is properly set up before and after service, maintaining sanitation standards.
• Operate various equipment, including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines.
• Work with staff from other departments during special events and functions.

Qualifications

• Exhibits exceptional communication skills and the ability to get along well with others.
• Remains flexible and patient when communicating with guests and staff.
• Maintains a high level of sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information.
• Demonstrates knowledge of specialized diets and allergens as needed.
