Responsibilities
- Review and manage day to day SUE operations to ensure the quality of the technical products & services are met.
- Participate in weekly SUE group operations calls.
- Conduct thorough client communication both verbally and in writing.
- Develop and monitor project scope, budget, and quality control for SUE projects from the proposal stage through final deliverables.
- Plan SUE crew schedules and coordinate with other departments to ensure proper allocation of personnel and resources to meet project deadlines.
- Field supervise SUE crews to ensure compliance with the SUE Manual, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and accuracy standards.
- Coordinate with local municipalities to obtain necessary certifications and permits for SUE work in their jurisdictions.
- Provide oversight and monitor SUE activities to ensure assignments meet performance goals.
- Recruit, hire, manage, mentor, and retain staff necessary to build and maintain a local sustainable SUE operation.
- Maintain and develop client relationships.
- Responsible for safety coordination of SUE efforts.
- Network and collaborate with existing local PLS survey leads responsible for managing the day-to-day land surveying operations (office & field).
- New business development combining existing clients with Colliers Engineering & Design's diverse Land Survey & Measurement Service lines which include: 3D High Definition Laser Scanning, Mobile Lidar Mapping, Rail Surveying, GPS and Conventional Surveys.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in SUE and 5+ years supervising SUE crews.
- Ability to designate all utilities using surface geophysical equipment, including RF Pipe and Cable Locators, Penetrating Radar, and electromagnetic induction devices.
- Extensive experience operating and maintaining a vacuum excavation truck.
- Able to work flexible hours (some nights, weekends, and travel will be required).
- Must be able to generate revenue through existing client base and new business development.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to handle tight deadlines.
- Able to read, write, and understand English for purposes of comprehending job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
Pay
$76,500 to $123,100 per year (depending on qualifications)
