Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify substance use issues and co-occurring mental health conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's needs and goals.
- Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions focused on addiction recovery and coping strategies.
- Provide psychoeducation regarding substance use disorders, treatment modalities, and relapse prevention techniques.
- Monitor client progress and adapt treatment plans as necessary to ensure effectiveness.
- Collaborate with case managers, healthcare providers, and community resources to coordinate care for clients.
- Document all client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes following agency and regulatory guidelines.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to remain informed of best practices in the field of addiction treatment.
- Ensure compliance with confidentiality standards, including HIPAA regulations and agency policies.
Requirements
- Must be licensed to practice in the state you are providing services in.
- NPI and Medicaid Provider Number preferred and required to start work.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Required with appropriate licensure.
- An associate’s, bachelor’s, or master's degree in counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is preferred.
- Relevant certifications related to substance use treatment (e.g., Certified Addiction Specialist) preferred.
- Experience in substance use treatment and knowledge of evidence-based practices for addiction recovery is preferred.
- All applicants must submit to and pass a background check prior to hire.
