Substitutes - School Lunch Program - 2026/2027 SY

Responsibilities

• Aid in food preparation
• Clean and organize cafeteria counter
• Serve students and staff at the cafeteria counter
• Remove used dishes and assist in cleaning counters, tables, and furnishings
• Organize and store food, supplies, and equipment
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen and dishwashing area

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• High standards of personal hygiene and sanitation
• Basic math skills including currency exchange

Working Conditions

• Hourly position averaging 3.5 hours per day
• Works on an as needed basis at various school sites
• Required to be on call daily and travel to different schools
• Normal working hours: 8:30 to 11:00 AM to 1:00 to 2:00 PM

Pay

• $16.94/hour
• Not benefit eligible

• Occasional lifting up to 30 pounds
• Some climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling
• Frequent standing, walking, and sitting
• Lifting up to 30 pounds
• High volume of work and strict adherence to workload may be stressful
