Substitute Cafeteria Workers SY 2026-2027

About the role

Substitute Cafeteria Worker positions are available at schools in the Supervision District (Deep River, Essex, Chester, Valley Regional High School, and John Winthrop Middle School). This role involves performing a variety of tasks within the school cafeteria. Previous food experience in a school setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in all phases of food preparation and serving
• Assist with daily cleaning of all kitchen equipment to ensure cleanliness and sanitary conditions, including the dish room
• Set-up and breakdown serving lines
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
