Substitute Teacher (On-Call) – Infants/Toddlers/Preschool

Primary Responsibilities

• Maintain appropriate teacher-to-child ratios, ensuring constant visual supervision and safety
• Foster and maintain a safe, inclusive, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment
• Adhere to Wonder Years School policies, procedures, and state licensing requirements
• Support classroom teachers in implementing age-appropriate, child-centered curricula, including open-ended activities that encourage exploration and developmental growth
• Auxiliary with classroom and outdoor environment set-up and maintenance
• Conduct regular safety checks of playground equipment and outdoor areas prior to children's use
• Support food preparation as required
• Participate in general cleaning and clerical tasks as needed
• Collaborate effectively with fellow educators and the School Director to uphold the quality standards of our educational programs

Qualifications

• Required: Minimum 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED
• Clearance of fingerprints through the Department of Justice Child Abuse Index Check and Criminal Record Statement
• Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently
• PREFERRED: Early Childhood Education (ECE) units and/or recent teaching experience with children ages 0-6
