Substitute Teacher Bridges Montessori

Responsibilities

Aid in hands-on activities tailored to meet the developmental needs and interests of the children.

Maintain open and regular communication with parents, sharing updates on their child's progress and daily milestones.

Ensure the classroom environment is safe and clean by adhering to established procedures and guidelines.

Qualifications

• Candidates must pass required state and company background checks.
• Meet state and company minimum education and experience requirements:
• At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
• One year of experience working in child care, daycare, or preschool settings.
• A CDA, Associate, or bachelor’s degree in early education or a related field is preferred.
• Florida Care Provider Clearinghouse Background Screening is required (https://crw.flclearinghouse.com/DCF).
• 45 hours of required screening may be completed in-state or out-of-state, depending on DCF guidelines.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to lift, carry, or hold children weighing up to 40 pounds frequently, and less than 40 pounds occasionally.

Full range of motion is necessary for lifting, reaching, squatting, climbing, sitting, and participating in various activities.

The employee must respond immediately and appropriately to multiple or unexpected situations or emergencies.

Maintain mental and physical alertness and an appropriate level of energy to perform essential job requirements.

Compensation

The hourly rate for this position is between $15.05 - $18.70 per hour.
