Job Summary

About the role

This S&I on-call position is responsible for teaching seminary students the doctrine and principles of the gospel as found in the scriptures and the words of the prophets. A substitute teacher position will be responsible for teaching one or more class periods as needed.

Responsibilities

• Encourages and motivates students to grow spiritually
• Effectively prepares and presents religious lesson materials to students
• Helps students fulfill their role in the learning process

Qualifications

• Must have a foundational knowledge of LDS gospel principles
• Must know and be able to apply: educational theory and technique; psychology of youth learning in a religious context; S&I policies and material
• Must be able to apply sensitivity and diplomacy in teaching students
• Must be able to interface with students and parents
