Teacher, Substitute

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain instructional continuity in the absence of the regular classroom teacher.
• Support student learning by following provided lesson plans, managing the classroom effectively, and fostering a positive, faith-centered atmosphere.
• Implement lesson plans and classroom procedures as provided by the regular teacher.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and well-managed classroom environment.
• Support student learning and engagement across grade levels as assigned.
• Communicate effectively with school staff regarding classroom needs or concerns.
• Uphold school policies and expectations.
• Model and support Catholic values in interactions with students and staff.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred (education-related field a plus).
• Substitute teaching certification or eligibility per Archdiocesan/state requirements.
• Classroom Experience Preferred.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Flexibility, reliability, and professionalism.
• PREFERRED: Familiarity with Catholic school settings.
• PREFERRED: Commitment to the mission and values of the Catholic Church.
• PREFERRED: Ability to work effectively with students of varying ages and learning levels.

Reporting Structure

This position reports to the School Principal or designated administrator.
