Substitute (SUB) Direct Support Professional/Caregiver

Responsibilities

• Plan and teach recreational activities
• Teach activities of daily living
• Provide personal care services
• Support community integration for adults with developmental disabilities
• Perform other duties such as transporting clients, completing and maintaining accurate reports, and maintaining a clean and safe environment
• Handle challenging situations with sound decision-making

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license with a driving record meeting organizational standards
• Ability to complete and maintain required training in accordance with organizational, County, State, and Federal regulations
• Knowledge of developmental disabilities
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks requiring standing, walking, reaching, and bending

• Interpretation and following through on instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver’s license with a driving record meeting the standards set forth by the organization and valid vehicle insurance.

• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks requiring standing, walking, reaching, and bending.
