Substitute Site Coordinator, ExL
About the role
The Site Coordinator manages one to two after-school sites and oversees all staff at their respective sites. They spend between 40-60% of their time on administrative/managerial duties and the remainder in the classroom with children and mentoring staff.
Responsibilities
- Schedules and requests substitutes
- Manages interns and volunteers
- Manages curriculum and vendors
- Ensures compliance to program quality standards and state regulations
- Ensures constant supervision of students in a safe and supported environment
- Collects, maintains, and ensures accuracy of all attendance records
- Trains and supports new staff
- Participates in professional development
- Manages staff scheduling
- Prepares and implements program activities
- Organizes program materials for lessons and activities
- Controls all costs through prudent purchasing of materials and services
- Ensures health and safety, education, and HR training compliance
Requirements
The Site Coordinator must have high energy, excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to maintain a fun and organized atmosphere.
Qualifications
The minimum formal relevant education required by the position is a High School Diploma. The minimum relevant experience necessary to qualify for the position is 1-2 years of experience in ECE including at least 1 year of experience mentoring and leading other adults or teaching staff.
Skills
Understanding of behavior management and effective resolution techniques, excellent verbal and written communication skills, highly organized with exceptional interpersonal and partnering relationship skills, ability to keep track of all curriculum and binders at site, enthusiastic and highly motivated, proven leadership and team-building skills, excellent time management skills, provides effective customer service, proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel).
