About the role
The Substitute Preschool Teacher supports early childhood education programs across the country, focusing on children aged 3 to 4 years old. This position works collaboratively with another teacher to manage a classroom with 14 to 20 children.
Responsibilities
- Follows the curriculum as scheduled during coverage.
- Plans and implements learning experiences to enhance children’s intellectual and physical development, including literacy, phonemic awareness, numeracy, language skills, and problem-solving.
- Maintains a safe and healthy learning environment, ensuring the correct adult-to-child ratio and proper supervision.
- Supports the social and emotional development of children through positive guidance techniques and encourages family involvement.
- Collaborates with other teachers in the assigned classroom and center, adhering to Acelero Learning policies and procedures.
- Communicates proactively with the Center Director and Early Learning/Disabilities Specialist regarding schedule changes.
- Participates in assigned meetings, events, and training sessions.
Requirements
- A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- A physical exam and background check are mandatory for this position.
Qualifications
- Experience in early childhood education is preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Benefits
This position offers competitive compensation at $15.50/hr, up to 15.50 Hourly. Additional benefits include:

Schedule
This is a "as needed" position, called upon when coverage is required in the classroom at various locations throughout the county.
Pay
This position pays $15.50/hr, up to 15.50 Hourly.
